There’s something innately and undeniably hot about a girl in guy’s clothing. It’s truly a fashion feat to cover up completely and still look impeccably sexy, which is probably why menswear-inspired clothing has become all the rage this autumn.
There was definitely no shortage of this trend on the runway for the fall fashion 2013 shows back in the spring. We saw a plethora of tailored suit jackets for the ladies; menswear inspired trousers, oversized boyfriend coats and brogues. All of this in our favourite masculine fabrics, like houndstooth, pinstripe, plaid, checks and tweed.

Celebrities In Menswear-Inspired Clothes
Celebrities have been big on embracing this sharply tailored look as well. We saw George Clooney’s ex-love, Stacy Kiebler, looking slick in a gender bending tuxedo jacket and pants recently and perpetual tomboy babe Alexa Chung wore what we like to call an “old man chic” outfit to the Elle Style Awards in a Stella McCartney check suit with jacquard detailing. (You can’t honestly tell us this isn’t equally if not more sexy than a skin-hugging dress.)
However, if there’s anyone who does menswear justice, it’s the queen of sexy tuxedos, singer Janelle Monae who has really made the gender-bending look her cred. The R&B crooner almost exclusively wears different variations of the tux to events and red carpets.
And how could we forget our favourite brooding tomboy, “Twilight” actress Kristen Stewart? We’ve become accustomed to seeing her in feminized versions of what we’d expect her ex-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson to wear.
