Twitter reacted in anger to the news that MP Dean Del Mastro has been charged with breaking election spending rules.
Del Mastro also removed himself from the Conservative caucus on Thursday.
The former parliamentary secretary has fiercely defended himself saying that he did nothing wrong and that Elections Canada had been acting with "malice and contempt."

The knives came out for Del Mastro on twitter with many tying the Ontario MP to controversy plagued Tory senators such as Pamela Wallin and Mike Duffy.
