Homicide investigators have released a description of a suspect wanted in connection to the case of Franz Prokop, a Maple Ridge realtor and former politician who was shot during a showing in late August.
The suspect is described as an Indo-Canadian male in his mid-50s with an accent, round face, full beard, walks with a limp and wore a turban, Integrated Homicide Investigation Team spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Pound tweeted on Tuesday.
Prokop, a former Maple Ridge councillor, was shot on a gravel road on Aug. 31 on a 19-acre, $1.88-million property in the 24200-block of Lougheed Highway, The Province reported.
The realtor, who had been shot in the head numerous times while showing the property, managed to flag down a passing car before an off-duty paramedic arrived on scene, The Maple Ridge News reported.
Police want to speak with anyone who drove past the Lougheed Highway property at around noon that day and may have seen Prokop's BMW as well as the suspect's large, dark pickup truck, the newspaper wrote.
