Justin Bieber Scales Great Wall Of China On Bodyguards' Shoulders Because He Thinks He's An Emperor

Justin Bieber Apparently Thinks He's The Emperor Of China

While fans of Justin Bieber might deem him to be the eighth wonder of the world, the pop star's visit this week to the Great Wall of China was not without some inanity on the singer's part.

The Toronto Star reports Bieber was visiting the Great Wall on Monday (Sept. 30) but used his bodyguards as a quasi-throne by sitting on their shoulders en route to the top of the ancient barrier.

Although no photos were posted on Bieber's Twitter site of the visit, fan account @BelieveTUpdates tweeted a handful of pictures showing the singer on the shoulders of two bodyguards as they lead him up the steps. Another photo shows Bieber with his hands in the air celebrating the fact he made it to the top of the Great Wall all by himself except for two bodyguards carrying him up.

There's no word as to what portion of the Great Wall Bieber visited but seeing as he spent the day in Beijing it's most likely he went to Badaling, the closest portion of the massive wall located approximately 80 kilometers northwest of Beijing. And although it's probably changed in the 15 years since this writer visited the Badaling portion, the stairs can be uneven and tricky but are not exactly impossible to climb.

Never say never, Biebs!

Bieber made no mention of making it to the Great Wall of China but tweeted he would "have to let u know something big before I head to china."

Bieber performed in Beijing on Sept. 29 as part of his Believe world tour. The Chinese leg continues in Dalian tomorrow night (Oct. 2) before concluding in Shanghai on Saturday (Oct. 5).
