Camilo's Overhead Goal For Vancouver Whitecaps Revs Up The Crowd (VIDEO)

WATCH: AMAZING Overhead Goal

It may not have been enough to secure the Whitecaps a playoff spot, but Camilo Sanvezzo's overhead goal still gave fans something to cheer about.

The Brazilian's shot against the Portland Timbers on Sunday night, saw him leaping into the air and firing the ball over his head from the centre of the penalty area to tie the game 2-2 at the 77:55 mark.

The tie gave the Whitecaps a point in the MLS standings but it still left them in seventh place in the Western Conference, six points shy of a playoff spot with three games left to play.

The 'Caps still have a chance at making the playoffs, but their room for error is razor-thin.

Camilo's goal is hardly the first time that a soccer player has stunned a crowd with an overhead volley. Last November, Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored on a spectacular bicycle kick in a game against England.

Then later that month, AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes scored a similar goal against Anderlecht in a Champions League match, sending an Italian announcer into a tizzy.
