Police seek suspect in downtown sexual assault

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in investigating a sexual assault in the downtown core. 

Police say a 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on Tuesday shortly before 3 p.m. near Queen Street West and Portland Street.

The woman was at a restaurant when a male suspect approached her and assaulted her, according to officers at 41 Division. 

The man is described as black with a light complexion, between 20 and 30 years old, six feet tall and 200 pounds. He has short dark hair, brown eyes, light facial hair and was wearing baggy clothing and a white and blue flat-brimmed baseball hat.
