Social Media Lights Up In Purple For Bullied Teen

Amanda Todd died one year ago today and social media is lighting up in purple on the anniversary of the teen's suicide.

The anniversary falls on World Mental Health Day, and her mother Carol Todd is inviting people to honour the occasion by wearing purple, lighting a candle, changing your profile picture or banner on social media, or planning something to promote positive emotional health.

The campaign has gone international, with lights set to turn purple at Science World and BC Place in Vancouver, as well as Niagara Falls, the CN Tower and the Los Angeles airport.
