Betty White's Air New Zealand Flight Safety Video Is Brilliant

WATCH: Betty White Teaches You All About Flight Safety

After enlisting hobbits, orcs and elves in their last safety video, Air New Zealand has once again raised the bar in traditionally mundane in-flight experiences by recruiting "Golden Girl" Betty White and the "Love Boat" captain Gavin MacLeod for their latest production.

Dubbed “Safety Old School Style,” the world’s favorite nonagenarian helps the airline tell passengers how to fasten their seat belt, use their oxygen masks and brace in the event of an emergency -- all with her sweet and sassy smile.

"Love Boat" actor MacLeod also makes a playful cameo in the video as a former captain.

Set in a retirement home presumably in a perennially sunny part of the US, the safety video replaces airline staff with retired seniors who offer an amusing and entertaining take on safety rules aboard an Airbus 320.

The pitch?

“Well, I said, if you want to know about survival, talk to us ‘cuz you’re going to want some advice from folks who have been there and done that," says White.

The video went viral within a day of being uploaded attracting more than 100,000 views.

Meanwhile, the airline’s Hobbit-themed safety video “An Unexpected Briefing,” has clocked more than 10.9 million views since being uploaded last October and won a Digital Innovation award this past summer in Bangkok.
