Commoners, you can now be one step closer to knowing what it's like to be a princess... by smelling like one.

Royal wannabes everywhere are probably rejoicing because the perfume Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day is now available for sale in the U.S. at Henri Bendel in New York City. (So far, no word on whether Canadians will be getting a whiff.)

But the scent doesn't come cheap (did you expect the Duchess of Cambridge to wear something affordable?).

Illuminum's White Gardenia Petals retails for $150 a bottle and it also comes in other scents like jasmine, lily of the valley and even gardenia.

People who are lucky enough to be able to afford to smell like Prince George's mum are in for a treat. Henri Bendel's website describes the fragrance thusly:

"As fragrant as a vase of white flowers, quivering in the breeze by an open window, this is a delicate and refined perfume. The top note of Lily evokes a tropical seaside location, whilst the heart notes of White Gardenia, Muguet and Jasmine breeze bring a trio of white flowers into play, much like a bride’s bouquet. Amber Wood base note underscores this light and capricious bouquet."

So will we see the "Kate Effect" rear its head again or will the high price turn off Kate-ophiles? We're going to guess that fans of the Duchess will splurge on this heavenly-sounding perfume, since they already buy her clothes and her classic Alexander McQueen wedding dress in droves.

Now all we need is our very own imitation Prince William and we're set!

We need some of Kate's coats too...
