Quebec labour ministry investigates Gatineau worker fall

A 59-year-old Gatineau worker is in hospital he fell about six metres from the roof of an east-end building.

Police said the man was renovating the roof of the two-story building at 312 Saint-Louis St. at 9:20 a.m.Friday when he fell.

He injured his head and ribs, police said.

Paramedics took him to the Hull hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Police and Quebec's ministry of labour are investigating.
