Heavy fog cancels flights across B.C.

Heavy fog blanketing the West Coast has delayed or cancelled many regional flights across B.C. on Friday morning, including some out of Prince George, Vancouver and Victoria.

In Prince George flights arriving from Calgary, Kamloops, Kelowna, Fort Nelson and Vancouver were all affected, along with departures to Terrace, Fort Nelson, Smithers and Vancouver.

At Vancouver International Airport flights from Prince George, Victoria and Comox were cancelled, along with departures to Victoria, Castlegar,  Nanaimo and Prince George.

Harbour Air also cancelled a large number of floatplane flights between Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo and Sechelt because of the fog.

The fog, which has been hanging around for several days, is forecast to clear in many parts of the province in the afternoon.
