Highway 27 Crash: Weather, Road Conditions Factors In Collision

Weather Factor In Fatal Crash

RCMP believe snowy weather and road conditions are partly to blame in a fatal collision near Three Hills, Alta. on Sunday.

The collision occurred around 10 a.m. on Sunday morning at the intersection of Highway 27 and Range Road 250, when a truck collided with a piece of heavy equipment. The two people in the truck were pronounced dead on the scene.

Traffic was rerouted on Highway 27 while Three Hills RCMP and the RCMP collision analyst investigated. The names of the victims have not been released.

Alberta RCMP are reminding motorists to use extra caution on the road as weather conditions deteriorate and the province transitions to winter driving conditions.
