Nearly $3M of cocaine seized by OPP near Brockville

Ontario police seized nearly $3 million worth of cocaine after a traffic stop near Brockville on Saturday.

OPP said they stopped an eastbound Chrysler 300 around 8:50 p.m. on Highway 401 in the township of Leeds and Thousand Islands.

After an investigation, OPP said they seized over 65 lbs. of cocaine with a street value of over $2.9 million.

A 27-year-old man from Montreal was arrested and is scheduled to appear in a Brockville court via video on Sunday.

The OPP’s organized crime enforcement bureau continues to investigate.
