Man killed after wall collapses at Rosemont building

A man has been killed after a retaining wall collapsed in Montreal's Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough.

The incident happened at a building that was under renovation on Marquette Street at about 11:20 a.m. on Thursday.

Another person on the scene was treated for shock.

First responders said it's not clear why the wall suddenly collapsed.

According to Radio-Canada, the victim was working in a hole when the wall fell on top of him.
