Rob Ford Quotes: 'Yes, I Have Smoked Crack' And Other Controversial Lines

Rob Ford Quotes: 'I Have Smoked Crack' Wasn't His Only Zinger

Does a quote get any juicier than 'Yes, I have smoked crack cocaine"?

Unbeliveable though it may seem, Toronto mayor-turned-confessed-crack-cocaine user Rob Ford has been dropping bombshell soundbites for well over a decade now.

Long before he uttered his "We're going to put an end to the gravy train" motto that won him his mayoralty in 2010, Ford was making controversial and sometimes offensive comments on any number of talking points.

In 2001, he questioned a grant for a video on homosexuality for the South Asian community, saying: "I have no problem giving money out to physically or mentally handicapped children or seniors, but spending $5,000 on this video is disgusting."

In 2005, he went off-the-cuff in his remarks on the transgender community: "No. 1, I don't understand a transgender. I don't understand, is it a guy dressed up like a girl or a girl dressed up like a guy?"

In 2007, he blamed cyclists for their fatal road collisions.

And just a few months before his election in 2010, he was taped in a phone conversation saying, "What does OxyContin go for on the street, so I have an idea?"

It was the tip of the infinitely quotable iceberg. Read some of Ford's most notable -- and sometimes unbelievable -- comments below.
