Helicopter Proposal On Vancouver Mountain Is Seriously Romantic (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

This Wedding Proposal Beats All

The whole experience was captured on a video posted to YouTube on Monday and has since drawn drawn several comments on Reddit.

Months before the proposal, aspiring stylist Millar-Jones asked her friend Bradley Friesen, a commercial helicopter pilot, whether he could fly her, a photographer and model Sarah Porchetta out for a photo shoot on a 5,000-foot peak near Widgeon Lake, in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park.

Check out some photos of the proposal that took place July 29. The story continues below the slideshow:

Friesen agreed, but Brown, a manager at Vancouver's Annex nightclub, had other plans. He called the pilot and asked whether he could tag along on the shoot and propose to her right then and there.

Brown flew up to the mountain about a half-hour before Millar-Jones made the trip. Friesen texted the photographer about 10 minutes before takeoff to let her know she'd be shooting a proposal as well.

As the helicopter approached, Millar-Jones spotted a man silhouetted against the sky. The chopper was about 50 feet away when she threw her head back and realized that Brown was standing there, waiting to ask her to be his wife.

Brown brought a bottle of Veuve-Cliquot Champagne along for the occasion and the photographer took some spectacular shots of the betrothed couple against a backdrop of endless mountains.

If there's a more uniquely B.C. way to propose to your partner, we'd like to know what it is.
