VANCOUVER - Tristan Jarry made 37 saves as the Edmonton Oil Kings shut out the Vancouver Giants 3-0 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.
It was Jarry's second shutout of the season and eighth of his WHL career. Edmonton has won back-to-back games and seven of its last 10 with one shootout loss.
Cody Corbett scored just over seven minutes into the game for the Oil Kings (10-7-1), while Aaron Irving and Curtis Lazar had goals as well.
Payton Lee stopped 24 shots for Vancouver (7-11-2).
Edmonton won despite having discipline issues. The Oil Kings took 27 minutes of penalties compared to the Giants' 19 minutes in the box.
Neither team scored on the power play, with Edmonton going 0 for 5 and Vancouver going 0 for 4.

CRANBROOK, B.C. — Jon Martin had a pair of goals as the Kootenay Ice skated past the Calgary Hitmen 3-1.
Jaedon Descheneau also scored for Kootenay (9-7-2). Mackenzie Skapski stopped all eight shots he faced in the first period. Wyatt Hoflin made 27 saves in two periods of work.
Jake Virtanen was the lone scorer for Calgary (10-5-3), while Chris Driedger turned aside 29 shots.
BLAZERS 4 REBELS 1
KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Bolton Pouliot made 36 saves to earn the win in net as the Kamloops Blazers dispatched the Red Deer Rebels 4-1.
Chase Souto had a power-play goal for Kamloops (6-10-2), while Aspen Sterzer, Matt Needham and Cole Ully also scored.
Lukas Sutter had the only goal for Red Deer (7-10-1) and Taz Burman stopped 31 shots.
