South Korea's Lee, Dutch men's pursuit team break speedskating records

CALGARY - A pair of speedskating world records fell at the Olympic Oval in Calgary on Saturday.

The Netherlands broke their own record in the men's pursuit with a time of three minutes 37.17 seconds. The Dutch held the previous record of 3:37.80 set in Salt Lake City in 2007.

Sang-Hwa Lee of South Korea bettered her own record in the women's 500 metres with a time of 36.74 seconds. She erased her previous mark of 36.80 she'd set in Calgary on Jan. 20.

The 24-year-old from Seoul won her second 500 metres in as many days at the first World Cup of the 2013-14 season.
