Highway 400 crash claims Toronto man's life

A Toronto man has died after the van he was riding in struck a disabled truck on Highway 400 late Sunday afternoon.

The Ontario Provincial Police say that a Mazda MPV was heading northbound when the collision occurred just north of Sheppard Avenue, at about 4:20 p.m.

The van’s driver and passenger were transported to a Toronto hospital.

Hours later, the OPP tweeted that the 60-year-old male passenger had died.

Police say the driver of the truck wasn't hurt in the crash.
