Graffiti threats close École Christine Morrison Elementary in Mission

One of the largest elementary schools in Mission, B.C., École Christine Morrison Elementary, has been closed for the day Tuesday,  because of some threatening graffiti painted on the school.

The RCMP recommended the closure after investigating the graffiti, but police say they are not releasing the specifics of the threatening message.

Many parents were notified about the closure by telephone. The school officials expect the school will reopen on Wednesday. The school has both French immersion and English programs.
