EDMONTON - A landlord who rents strip-mall space to a body-rub business doesn't want a new baby store moving in nearby because it could hurt the adults-only business, according to an appeal filed with the city.

In a letter Nov. 6 to the city's subdivision and development appeal board, the property owner says the Two Mothers baby store at 9553 76th Ave. will likely draw mothers and young children to the strip mall. And that could put the body-rub business in conflict with future city rules, since the city is concerned about kids being close to adults-only businesses, says the appeal from P. Thomson.
