The Integrated Homicide Investigation team has confirmed that they are investigating the death of a man in Surrey on Saturday morning.
The man’s body was found at the corner of 91 Avenue and 147a Street.
A woman who claims to have witnessed the murder told CBC News that the man was beaten to death during a brawl at a house known for hosting after-hours parties, but police have not confirmed any details.
Earlier this week, the previous record of 21 homicides was topped when IHIT was called to the scene of a suspicious death in the 12000 block of 99 Avenue.
More information to come.
