We thought Kate Middleton's hair looked a bit different lately.

The Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly ended ties with the man who styled her wedding hair and sparked a thousand copycats.

James Pryce, who used to be responsible for the 31-year-old's iconic wavy curls, is no longer working for Princess Catherine, ever since he left the Richard Ward Salon where he made his name, reports The Telegraph.

"Richard Ward still cuts Kate's hair and she has her color done at the salon," a source told the paper. "Plus, she has her stylist, Amanda Cook Tucker, who blow dries her hair for events, but James has really been pushed out."

Pryce reportedly fell out of favour with the palace after posting pictures of Prince George's mum on his social pages.

"When he went solo and tried to tour around the USA – he launched a Facebook page and Twitter account which featured hundreds of pictures of Kate and her various hairstyles to promote his business – obviously, that did not go down too well with the Palace at all," the source told The Telegraph.

Not only was Pryce responsible for the Duchess' iconic demi-chignon (which took almost two hours to finish), but he also styled her locks when she announced her engagement to Prince William in 2010. At that point, Pryce had been Kate's stylist for about eight years and was very close to his famous client.

For now, we don't know who is styling Kate's hair these days, which may explain why the classic beauty has been easing up on the hair dye.
