Squamish Chief Parachute Jump Is Extreme (VIDEO)

WATCH: What Happened Next Was EXTREME

It's one thing to BASE jump from major heights. It's quite another to take that leap, then spin 360 degrees, twice, in opposite directions.

Yet that's precisely what one videographer caught happening on the Stawamus Chief in Squamish. A video uploaded to YouTube by user Rick Kunzli on Sunday shows an extreme athlete jumping off the giant rock face with a parachute and doing two full circles in the air as he floats out of frame.

The video was also posted to the Vancouver Reddit on Sunday and by the next day it ranked among the site's top content.

The Chief, a 702-metre granite formation that overlooks the town of Squamish, is a popular location for activities such as hiking, climbing and BASE jumping, and several athletes have shot videos of themselves leaping off the natural landmark.
