Woman rushed to hospital after apparent Toronto stabbing

A woman has been rushed to hospital after an apparent stabbing in Toronto’s Lawrence Park neighbourhood.

Toronto police were called to an address near Mount Pleasant Road and Lawrence Avenue in the mid-afternoon for a reported assault. They found a woman with injuries they believed were stab wounds.

The woman was rushed to hospital. A Toronto EMS spokesperson told CBC News that the woman’s injuries were considered life-threatening.

Police say they have a person in custody.
