Oh, Kanye West.

After failing to land baby mama Kim Kardashian a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or a coveted Vogue cover, the rapper has directed his ire towards another high-profile target.

The "Bound 2" singer urged his fans to boycott French luxury retailer Louis Vuitton during a radio interview this week after explaining that he was snubbed by the company's vice-president, Yves Carcelle.

Speaking on 92.3 NOW radio, West said: "What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said 'I don't understand why we need to meet with you.' I said, 'let me explain to you why you need to meet with me.' Everybody in New York City right now don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don't realize my power."

Louis Vuitton prices can range from $665 for a pair of sunglasses to $1,220 for a shoulder bag and those are on the cheap side.

While we don't know if Kanye fans are taking their $885 shawls out of their Louis Vuitton basket, we do know that we won't see a collaboration between the outspoken star and the storied French House (especially since Yeezus just announced a partnership with Adidas.)

West made sure that he won't be working for LV anytime soon, saying, "If I had the opportunity to design for Louis Vuitton now I wouldn't because the prices are just too extreme and I don't want to use my message to have kids saving up that much to be a part of what the ideas are. That's the problem to me with luxury,"

While we agree that Louis Vuitton's prices are astronomical, we can't help but think that Kanye is a bit of a hypocrite. After all, this is the guy who owns personalized Goyard steamer trunks and backpacks which retail for upwards of $1,000 as well as Louis Vuitton "mirror" suitcases.
