The arrest follows a Nov. 11 attack when, according to police, three people tried to force their way into a home in the area of Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue west. One of the assailants was armed with a revolver. The other two were wearing masks.
A male resident was home with three young children at the time, all under the age of six.
A struggle ensued during which the gunman fired two rounds that went through the resident’s sweater, say police.
The boy was arrested by officers from the Hold Up Squad and 31 Division Nov. 26. He faces several charges and is due to appear in court Dec. 10.
He cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The two masked men remain at large.
