Craig Hodges, former three-point shooting star in NBA, to coach Halifax Rainmen

HALIFAX - Former NBA sharpshooter Craig Hodges has been named the head coach for the Halifax Rainmen of the National Basketball League of Canada.

Hodges was renowned for his ability to drain three-pointers during his 10 seasons in the NBA and won two championships while with the Chicago Bulls in 1991 and 1992.

The former shooting guard won the three-point shooting contest three consecutive times and averaged 40 per cent from beyond the arc in his career.

The 53-year-old played with three other teams in addition to the Bulls and was also a special assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He replaces Chris Terrell, who was recently dumped by the 1-6 Rainmen.
