The year of 2013 has been filled with memorable characters in the style scene from Hollywood royalty such as Jennifer Lawrence to actual royalty like Kate Middleton.

But, in our humble opinion, none of the above had as many standout moments as our honorary Canadian, Paulina Gretzky. Sure, the Duchess of Cambridge had a baby and JLaw won an Oscar, but can those achievements really compare to the scandalous-filled year that the Great One's daughter had? We think not.

Just hear us out: The 23-year-old budding singer almost shut down Instagram with her racy bikini photos, posed for her first Maxim cover, caused controversy with her "I'm not Canadian" comments and shocked the world when she announced her engagement to pro golfer Dustin Johnson.

So, in honour of Paulina's stellar year, we take a look at her most scandalous moments of 2013:

In what we're sure was a controversial decision at the Flare offices, Paulina covered the magazine's January 2013 issue and talked about the sexy Instagram photos that made her famous.

"I think that a couple of pictures sparked an interest," she said. "They acted as if I was doing frontal, like, nudity and that didn't feel right."
