Man shot in head in Scarborough attack, police say

Toronto police are investigating after a 32-year-old man was shot in the head during an attack in the city’s east end.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, police received a call about a shooting on Morningside Avenue at Kingston Road in Scarborough.

Authorities say a man shot the victim before fleeing in a car driven by another person.

EMS crews transported the victim to hospital in serious condition. His injuries are non-life-threatening, police said.

On Sunday morning, police were probing the crime scene, located in an alleyway next to a convenience store on the northeast corner of the intersection.

The victim is cooperating with investigators, police said.
