WATCH: This Commercial About Double Standards Says It All

Sixty per cent of all women in Canada are in the workforce, and this number has only been increasing with each passing year. Women are essential, they're achieving great things and it's inconceivable to imagine a workplace without them. So why is an ad showing how a man may be called "boss" while a woman is called "bossy" striking such a chord?

This video, by Pantene Philippines, shows quite succinctly the double standard many women have experienced throughout their lives, whether it's being seen as "pushy" instead of "persuasive," or "showing off" when a man is simply "smooth."

It's garnered raves around the web, including accolades from Sheryl Sandberg, author of Lean In:

Now we're not sure how buying shampoo is going to change any of this, but if it's a matter of getting attention, then this video more than does the job.
