Kenyan Senator's Nelson Mandela Photo Busted As Obvious Fake

Not everyone's first reaction to news of Nelson Mandela's death is to take to Photoshop – unless you're Mike Sonko.

Sonko, a Kenyan senator, uploaded a photo of “him” and the late Nelson Mandela in an embrace to Facebook. It was instantly exposed as a fake, Sonko quickly ridiculed.

“What are you? A senator or a socialite?” teased one Facebook user.

It appears Sonko pasted his head on Muhammad Ali's body in a file photo from a meeting between the legendary heavyweight boxer and Mandela.

“Mr. Mandela, you seem awfully blurry today. A little under the JPEG?” quipped one Reddit user.

Nice try, Mr. Sonko.
