Peter Van Loan, Government House Leader, To Answer Your Questions

Got A Question For The Government House Leader?
CP

Peter Van Loan has good reason to be merry these days.

The Government House Leader's motion to rise early for the holidays won unanimous consent Tuesday, ending what he called a very productive year.

Van Loan said a "record amount of legislation passed" since Parliament returned with a speech from the throne in October.

And like all Conservative MPs, Van Loan probably doesn't mind a six-week reprieve from questions about the Senate expense scandal.

But before Van Loan heads home for the holidays, the key member of Harper's inner circle will sit down for an interview with HuffPost Canada's Ottawa bureau chief Althia Raj on Wednesday — and we want to know what questions you'd like answered.

Do you want to know…

What does he see as the government's top legislative achievement this fall?

Does he anticipate the government's new cyberbullying bill will meet the same fate as its ill-fated online surveillance bill due to concerns over privacy?

Does he feel that civility in the House has improved?

Does passing more bills — the government is on its way to passing 40 bills this year — mean the Conservatives are more productive or are the bills just receiving less scrutiny?

Does he think the Reform Act will pass?

While we expect tough questions, you'll be more likely to get an answer if you keep things respectful.
