Claire Danes is known for her classic, glamorous style so we were a bit surprised when we saw the "Homeland" star wear a dress that looked like a Christmas tree at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Norway on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old sported a floor-sweeping Valentino Resort gown which featured a multi-colour floral pattern that was supposed to look tropical but ended up looking more appropriate for a holiday party.
Because the dress was so busy, the "Romeo & Juliet" actress toned down the rest of her look, and donned a simple updo, a silver bracelet and a pair of small earrings.
Perhaps the former "My So-Called Life" star is saving the more glamorous gowns for when she walks an awards show red carpet. This week, Claire was nominated for a SAG Award for her work in "Homeland" but was shut out of a Golden Glob nod.
We hope that Danes re-creates last year's stunning Golden Globes look or surprises us with another cool hairdo like the faux bob she sported at the 2013 Emmys.
Just as long as she doesn't channel a holiday ornament.
Claire's style has really changed:
