He's the gift that just keeps on giving. Well, at least for late-night comedians.
Toronto's controversial Mayor Rob Ford was the highlight of David Letterman's Top 10 Christmas Songs Of 2013 list Thursday night, a segment made possible with a little help from singer Josh Groban. Watch starting at 2:42.
“That jolly fat man has quite a knack for being beloved and adored. He carries a sack filled with beer and crack. It’s Toronto’s mayor, Rob Ford,” sang Groban to the melody of It Came Upon a Midnight Clear.
"Yeah! That's what we were waiting for," chimed Letterman, clapping. Also joining Ford on the list were annoying people on the sidewalk and Frank Sinatra.
It's the second time this week Ford has become the punchline in a Christmas-themed musical bit. On Tuesday night, Jimmy Kimmel unleashed "The 12 Days Of Rob Ford", a festive recap of the greatest political scandal Toronto has ever seen.
It's unclear how jolly Ford will be this Christmas though. On Thursday, the mayor was served with a libel and slander notice for accusing a Toronto Star reporter of inappropriately taking photos of his children.
