VERNON, B.C. - The American coach and substitute teacher accused of planting a video camera in the hotel room of his female students will spend the Christmas holidays in a British Columbia jail.
The bail hearing for 43-year-old Jason Paur of Seattle was put over until January by a provincial court judge in Vernon, B.C.
Paur was arrested Dec. 10 at the Silver Star ski resort near Vernon and faces charges of secretly viewing or recording nudity or sexual activity, possessing and accessing child pornography, and breaking and entering.
Paur was a substitute teacher at The Bush School, a private kindergarten- to Grade 12 school in Seattle, and was also a coach of its boys and girls cross country ski team.
The team was on a field trip at the resort.
After his arrest, the school released a statement saying Paur had worked there periodically since 1996 and has been placed on administrative leave. (CKIZ)
