Maxine Peters, 27, from Grand Prairie, Alberta died on Friday while skiing out of bounds at the Powder King Ski Resort near Mackenzie.
Donita Kuzma with the B.C. Coroners Service says officials are still investigating the death and the results of the autopsy have not yet been released.
"Peters was snowboarding in an out-of-bounds area of the ski resort when she lost control after going over a small jump, and she fell into some very deep powdered snow."
RCMP in Mackenzie are also investigating the death.
