Missing man sought in northwestern B.C.

An extensive search is underway in northwestern British Columbia for a missing Prince Rupert man.

Adam Moore, 26, was reported missing on Tuesday, the RCMP told reporters at a news conference.

He was last seen near a local 7-Eleven store on Sunday about 3:15 a.m. There have been reports Moore may have driven to Terrace, but police have been unable to confirm that.

RCMP, search and rescue, CN Rail police and the Canadian Coast Guard are searching the area between Prince Rupert and Terrace. A coast guard helicopter is expected to join the search.

Moore is described at six feet tall with a slim build. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He drives a black 2005 Volkswagon Jetta.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP.
