Thank You Mom Sochi Ad: Emotional Campaign Kicks Off The Olympics

WATCH: An Emotional Kickoff To The Olympic Games

Are you ready for the onslaught of emotion that can only be caused by the Olympics?

As the world prepares to watch world-class Olympians take to winter sports in Sochi starting February 6, this short film from Procter and Gamble serves as a reminder that behind each athlete is someone who drove them to the ski hill, iced their sore muscles, bought them those skates in the first place, and yes, told them that falling down was all part of getting back up.

Created as a follow-up to the company's heart-wrenching London 2012 "Best Job" commercial, the piece features athletes from around the world (but yes, highlights the Canadian hockey team).

While we're not sure it's only moms who are driving to the 5:30 a.m. practices, we love the sentiment behind it. And if the film's intention was to gear us up for the coming Games, it certainly reminded us why we always end up glued to our TVs for those two weeks.
