Stoughton won three skins to take home $17,500, while Gushue finished with $3,500.
Stoughton will play the winner of Saturday's second semifinal match between 2013 Brier champion Brad Jacobs and 2010 Olympic gold medallist Kevin Martin. A total of $57,000 in prize money is up for grabs in the final.
Jacobs will skip for Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Gushue took the lead early in the draw, winning the first skin in the second end, and the second skin in the third end for a total of $3,500. Stoughton evened it up with a win in the fifth end to tie the game at $3,500 before securing his victory in the seventh end.
Stoughton played alongside an all-star team featuring Dave Nedohin, Brent Laing, and Ryan Harnden. Gushue's team included John Morris, E.J. Harnden, and Ben Hebert.
