Two Vancouver men in hospital after apparent violent altercation

Two men are in hospital after what appears to have been a violent altercation in downtown Vancouver.

At around 8:15 Monday evening, police responded to a report of a shooting at the Park Hotel Apartments located at West Pender and Richards Street. When VPD arrived on the scene they found one man who had been stabbed and another man who appeared to have been shot.

Both men were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

"It is early in the investigation, but it is believed that the shooting and stabbing are possibly the result of an altercation between the two men," said Vancouver police spokesperson Randy Fincham.
