The Knesset is literally rolling out the red carpet for Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper ahead of his speech to the Israeli parliament today.
Harper, a staunch supporter of Israel, will be the first Canadian prime minister to address the Knesset.
Harper is due to arrive at the Knesset at 11 a.m. ET, with the speech to follow. CBC News will carry it LIVE at 11 a.m. ET.
Harper is on his first trip to Israel as part of an official visit to the Middle East.
He started the day with a visit to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. He and his wife, Laureen, were given a warm welcome to Israel at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
He also announced $66 million in aid for Palestinians.
