Injured woman found tied-up beside road in Joliette

Quebec provincial police are investigating after a woman was found tied up on the side of the road in Joliette, in the Lanaudière region. 

Suretédu Québec Sgt. Claude Denis said officers were called to an collision between a car and a pedestrian last night at about 11 p.m.

Denis said when officers arrived, they found a woman in her 30s, with her hands tied and injuries to her mouth. There was no vehicle on the scene.

Police said the woman is in the hospital, where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Denis said investigators believe the woman might have been pushed out of the car, and they plan to talk to the woman to try to find out what happened.

Police are questioning three men in their early 20s to late 30s.
