Leafs, Kings swap minor league forwards

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Los Angeles Kings swapped a pair of minor league forwards on Wednesday.

Toronto acquired forward Brandon Kozun from the Kings in exchange for Andrew Crescenzi, the Kings announced in a press release.

Kozun was the Kings' sixth-round draft pick in 2009 and had 10 goals and 19 assists this year for the Monarchs. He was a member of Team Canada's squad that won silver at the 2010 world juniors, registering seven points in six tournament games.

Crescenzi will report to L.A.'s American Hockey League affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs. The 20-year-old has accumulated 33 penalty minutes to go along with one goal and an assist in 32 games with the Toronto Marlies.

The Maple Leafs signed the Thornhill, Ont., native as a free agent in 2010.
