Construction of Tsawwassen First Nation mega-malls begins

Major developments are going ahead south of the Fraser with construction started on two new destination malls on Tsawwassen First Nation lands.

After two years of planning and preparation, the Tsawwassen First Nation announced that construction on the dual shopping destinations began today.

Located at Highway 17 and 52nd Street, the Tsawwassen Mills mall will include approximately 1.2-million square feet of retail space, with 16 anchor stores.

Tsawwassen Commons, which will share roadway entrances with Tsawwassen Mills, will have 550,000 square feet of outdoor retail space, and will be anchored by Walmart and by Rona.
