2 Toronto stories to follow at this year’s Super Bowl

NFL fans may be looking forward to the Super Bowl, but there are many other reasons why people in Toronto may be tempted to tune in next Sunday.

One storyline worth watching is what happens to Scarborough’s Orlando Franklin, who is making his Super Bowl debut with the Denver Broncos.

A massive party is being organized at Seneca College to celebrate the offensive end’s achievement.

There’s also the story of Toronto indy band Daylight for Deadeyes, whose song New York is going to be played at this year’s Super Bowl.

Guitarist Matt Gormley said the hope is the big-game exposure will tempt some music fans-to-be "to find out who we are."
