The Super Bowl halftime show long ago shed its reputation as a chance to make another round of nachos, but it's been a particular focal point ever since Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction ten years ago. Of course, anything that gets this much attention usually sets itself for Twitter-fuelled mockery, but not this year.
Though lacking the star power of last year's Beyonce performance and the middle finger-fuelled uproar of Madonna's set, Bruno Mars' halftime show with the ever-shirtless Red Hot Chili Peppers managed to win over Twitterati.
Certainly the lackluster game itself didn't hurt, but Mars came in with relatively low expectations, at least for those who haven't ever seen him live, and his talent and people-pleasing performance easily won over the masses.
