Béatrice Godin, St-Isidore Girl, Dies Of Injuries After Weekend Family Shooting

An 11-year-old girl who was shot in a home in St-Isidore, Que., over the weekend passed away Wednesday of her injuries.

Béatrice Godin was shot in a family drama that resulted in the deaths of her sister, her mother and her mother's boyfriend.

Provincial police were called to a home in Ste-Croix-de-Lotbinière, Que., on Saturday evening where they found the bodies of Nancy Samson, 44, and Benoit Daigle, 39.

The investigation quickly led police to another home, about 70 kilometres away in St-Isidore.

There they found the body of 13-year-old Medora Godin, as well as an unconscious Béatrice and their 54-year-old father.

The father, Martin Godin, remains in critical but stable condition in hospital. He is currently the police's main suspect.
