Vancouver SkyTrain gets stuck, causes system-wide delays

A train on the Millennium Line SkyTrain is stuck near the Main Street Station in downtown Vancouver, causing system-wide delays according to TransLink.

Passengers heading west are being told to get off at the Commercial-Broadway Station, cross over to the west-bound platform, and get on a shuttle train to Main Street.

Shuttle trains in both directions are running between Broadway and Main Street and between Main and Waterfront.

TransLink says a bus bridge will be set up in order to assist stranded passengers. Shuttle routing will be as follows:

- Leaving from Commercial-Broadway Station,

- West on Broadway, Main (Main Station), Hastings, Seymour, Cordova (Waterfront Station).

- Returning leaving Waterfront Station via Cordova, Main (Main Street Station), Kingsway, then back to the Commercial-Broadway Station..

TransLink has not said what caused the train to get stuck, but officials say they're working on the problem. The service disruption occurred shortly before 3 p.m. PT.
