Nova Scotia Nurses Union president acclaimed to sixth consecutive term

HALIFAX - The head of the Nova Scotia Nurses Union has been acclaimed to the position for a sixth consecutive term.

Janet Hazelton has been president of the board of directors for the union since 2002.

She will now serve another two-year term.

Hazelton, who is a registered nurse, is a resident of Truro.

The union represents 6,700 registered nurses, nurse practitioners and licensed practical nurses working in hospitals, long-term care and community care facilities across the province.
